Schubert Cycle

The fact that the Staatskapelle Berlin with Daniel Barenboim is present in the opening season of the concert hall named after Pierre Boulez, the great composer and honorary speaker of the orchestra, almost goes without saying! On the occasion of the 220th birthday of Franz Schubert, the orchestra presents all symphonies of the composer in two cycles of three concerts.

Opernregiedebüt von Wim Wenders

Am 24. Juni gibt Wim Wenders mit einer Inszenierung von Georges Bizets »Les pêcheurs de perles« sein Opernregiedebüt. Die musikalische Leitung der Staatskapelle Berlin und des Staatsopernchors übernimmt Daniel Barenboim. Als Solisten sind Olga Peretyatko-Mariotti als Leïla, Francesco Demuro als Nadir, Gyula Orendt als Zurga und Wolfgang Schöne als Nourabad zu erleben.

FESTTAGE 2018

The FESTTAGE are back, in their former place. Where they were founded in 1996 by Daniel Barenboim, at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in the heart of Berlin, they find their place again after seven years at the Schiller Theater. The programme was recently published.
