Abonnementkonzert VIII

In the summer and autumn of 1780, Mozart composed his Symphony in C major (KV 338) while still living in his birthplace of Salzburg. It premiered the following spring in his new and final home, Vienna. Anton Bruckner also settled in the same music metropolis on the Danube with its numerous opportunities. With his Seventh Symphony, he made his long-sought breakthrough as a composer and left an indelible mark on the world of the symphony.
