The young composer Benjamin Attahir, who was born in 1989 in Toulouse and studied with Marc-André Dalbavie and Pierre Boulez among others, premieres his new violin concerto. With Mahler’s Symphony No. 5, a monumental five-movement work from the early 20th century, Gustav Mahler released a truly new world of sound.
