2020 will be a special year: it will mark exactly 450 years since the Kurbrandenburgische Hofkapelle, the historical predecessor to today’s opera and symphony orchestra, was first mentioned. As a prelude to this anniversary, Daniel Barenboim will play Mozart’s Piano Concerto KV 466, followed by a performance of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9.
