Children's Concert III

An offer for our youngest visitors aged between 3 and 6: the Children’s Concerts, initiated by Daniel Barenboim in 2015, are going into their third season, and are taking place for the first time in the Apollosaal. Over the course of forty-five minutes, stories are told with and through music, while the young audience can listen and join in. And since they take place in a room built by royalty, Frederick II of Prussia, everything revolves around this king. Staatskapelle musicians, members of the International Opera studio, and moderators collaborate with their individual skills.
The Steinhaus on the Frankfurter Allee in Lichtenberg, a meeting point for local children and teenagers, is also a location in the 2017/18 for a series of KINDERGESPRÄCH concerts with members of the Staatskapelle Berlin. (Events take place at the Kinderopernhaus Lichtenberg, a collaborative project of the Caritas association for the Archbishopric Berlin with the Staatsoper Unter den Linden.)
